OUR HISTORY

RAILKA Consulting Services, based in Barcelona, has been founded in 2021 by a group of engineers with extensive experience in transport and mobility sector.

Founders of RAILKA discovered their vocation in mobility systems while they studying engineering at the university. There, they realized the immense possibilities offered by modern technologies in the upgrading of railway systems and their integration with the city.

So, after graduating in telecommunication and industrial engineering, some from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and others from La Salle, they began to work for different engineering and transport companies until they met up again to join their work and passion in RAILKA.

Toni is MSc Industrial Engineer, BSc Telecommunication Engineer and PMP® certified with more than 20 years of extensive expertise in engineering, consultancy and management of railway projects within the infrastructure and transport sector.

He is an expert on signalling and train control systems, such as ATP, ATO, DTG, CBTC, ETCS and ERTMS, with proven knowledge in all types of signalling technologies and automation levels (GoA1 to GoA4). His work is recently focused in upgrading signalling systems for railway lines also integrating digitalization and smart train concepts into new projects.

Over the course of his long professional career, he has successfully worked in Spain, Panama, Argentina, Mexico, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Montse is MSc of Criminal Law and CESCOM® certified in Corporate Compliance with 10 years of expertise in law consultancy within multiple sectors.

Her expertise is on normative compliance, risk analysis, corporate communication, negotiation and contract management. Lately, she started her work in the transport sector for guaranteeing legal aspects of the projects according to the national and international regulation, also integrating sustainability aspects and ensuring compliance of the environmental liabilities, waste management and circular economy.

She has developed her career in multiple areas such as judicial law, corporate compliance and social entities such as Amnesty International.

Natxo is MSc Telecommunication Engineer and Electronic Engineer with more than 10 years of experience in engineering and consultancy services for infrastructure and mobility sectors. He has thus specialized in security systems and smart cities.

He is an expert on electronic systems, IoT sensors and platforms and security platforms, such as PSIM and VMS. Also his knowledge includes train communication systems, such as GSM-R, Wi-Fi, MVB, WiMAX, TETRA, etc.

Throughout his professional career he has successfully worked in Spain, Mexico and Qatar.

Jordi is MSc Telecommunication Engineer with a postgraduate degree in Project Management with more than 10 years of experience in engineering and consultancy of transport systems projects, developing technical assistance, consultancy and project management activities.

He is specialist in railway systems as command and control, fare collection, CCTV, PA, COMS and signalling. In recent years, his experience has been extended to the development of organizational, strategic and operational plans for organizations involved in railway operations. Nowadays his activity is focused on digital transformation, leading global projects and identifying lines of work within the business strategy of a railway operator.

He has successfully worked in Spain, Mexico, Peru, Canada, Saudi Arabia and Qatar among others.
